Yasmine built a data monetisation and venture strategy practice, Striven Consulting, acquired by Deloitte Canada in 2022. Steve grew Operto Guest Technologies from an IoT start-up into a global smart-access leader, after strategic leadership at Apple and advanced data analytics at Kantar. Different industries, same vantage point: operators inside the businesses, not advisers outside them.

In engagement after engagement they saw it: organisations entering the AI era with years of proprietary data sitting idle in warehouses, ticket systems, CRMs and spreadsheets, while regulators handed those same organisations obligations they had no infrastructure to meet. Two problems, one root, one fix.

Instead of another consultancy selling deliverables, they designed a group that builds infrastructure that discharges the obligation and keeps the evidence it produces as a compounding asset. Every engagement should leave the client's data estate more valuable than it found it.

Flywheel Ventures Group now operates three arms: Attesia, the product company building federated data infrastructure for regulated verticals; a boutique M&A advisory practice for partners building within the ecosystem; and a build-and-scale pipeline that takes dormant data assets from infrastructure to partner placement.

As agent-to-agent querying replaces SaaS dashboards, the organisations with instrumented, permissioned, priced data will set the terms. Flywheel exists to make sure its clients and partners are among them.
